Westfield makes it 6 straight with win over Fairfax

Westfield Volleyball is on a roll to say the least, winners of 5 straight matches heading into Wednesday night’s contest. The Bulldogs faced off with Fairfax and wasted no time in taking control of the match, winning the first game 25-9. The 2nd game was a tough fought 26-24 win for Westfield, before closing out the match in the 3rd with a 25-19 win.

The Bulldogs were led by their youth movement—all major statistical categories were led by Sophomores. Zumrod Tebra led the team in Digs (11), Jessica Hough led in Assists (19), and budding-star, Kirah Johnson led the team in Kills and Blocks (12 Kills, 2 Blocks). Yes, Westfield is young…. But, they are extremely dangerous and they are extremely good. They have 11 underclasswomen on the team, and obviously, a loaded Sophomore class that is going to be a 3 year nightmare for NoVa coaches.

Next up, Westfield faces Chantilly on 9/14/2017
