Langley was not happy about the outcome from the previous night and a short-handed Washington-Lee team paid the price. Langley held W-L to just 2 points in the 1st quarter and worked their way to a 30-15 lead at the half. The Saxons kept their foot on the gas in the 2nd half and cruised to a 62-29 win.
Washington-Lee got 9 points from Senior, Kierra Nelson and 16 points from Junior, Amelia Ack.
Langley got 9 points each from Senior, Lizzy Shamloo and Junior, Jordyn Callaghan. Senior, Paige Galiani came into the game averaging 16 points per game on the year, shooting 83% from the free throw line in her last 6 games, and only scoring in single-digits twice all year. Galiani, on Saturday, just did what she always does- she dropped 19 points and walked out with her team victorious.
Next up, Langley faces Madison on Feb. 9th.
